Always fun to find NOS.
I was tickled to find this 13 years after being issued as NOS. As per usual with these, there were pick up shoe adjustments to make, and new rear tires were in order. Early Johnny Lightning Thunderjets had quality issues. This one had a crooked driven gear, easily straightened out, but I'm not sure a novice would have even noticed. Slot car hobbyists are the most likely to buy and be prepared for such fixes, so no real problem. JL and eventually Auto World worked most of these out soon after. I dig it big time. A Chevrolet Vega, the one-year-only '74 to boot!I was tickled to find this 13 years after being issued as NOS.
